National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms ends its first training course on the participation of women in managing public affairs “Local elections model”
The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms has completed its first session in Luxor governorate on the participation of women in the management of public affairs, “Local elections as a model”, which was hosted within the Women’s Association for Health Improvement in Luxor. 15 potential female candidates for the upcoming local councils participated in the training.
The training was conducted by Professor / Abdel Nasser Qandil, a researcher in parliamentary affairs and a parliamentary advisor to Al-Ahali newspaper, who lectured on the legislative development of the local administration in the 2014 constitution, and also dealt with the national political environment (Parliament – Senate – political forces) and the interaction was good between the lecturers and trainees who were ready to engage Experience the upcoming local elections
On the second day, the lectures dealt with the management of electoral campaigns, the mechanisms of the electoral campaign, the determination of the electoral programs, the development of the message and the vision for the female candidates. The training ended with a simulation of the local election process from the legislation and election management until the vote counting ends.
The training course for women in managing public affairs “Local elections is a model” through the programs of women in the National Assembly for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms within the framework of the continuous development of the programs of the National Assembly.
The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms will hold a number of training courses and seminars in the various governorates of Egypt in order to prepare and qualify women to participate in public affairs and be more effective, especially since the Egyptian constitution has given women specific seats in the quota system of up to 25% of the total number of seats in the elections The next local community, which we hope that women will prepare to experience and influence positively in order to participate more positively in managing public affairs.
