National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms Supporting medical teams is the first way to survive the Covid-19 pandemic
The National Society for Defending Rights and Freedoms strongly warns against attempting to drive a wedge between the medical staff and the Egyptian Ministry of Health and to exploit the legitimate demands of the Medical Syndicate to protect the members of their union and take full precautionary measures to preserve the full human capacity of the medical teams in light of the fierce war in the face of Covid-19, especially as they are the first line of defense Which we fully depend on to get out of the crisis with the least losses.
The National Society strongly supports our heroes, including doctors, nurses and assistants, and we call on the Egyptian state to provide all the tools and equipment necessary to fulfill their role and preserve their lives and to take all precautionary measures to prevent infection with the virus and to provide urgent medical service to any of the injured medical staff due to performing their job tasks and providing emergency beds in every hospital To receive them and quickly treat our need for every member of the medical staff to carry out a session and his sacred human duty.
Many cases of incitement came out when Dr. Walid Yahya, one of the doctors at Al Munira Hospital, was infected with Covid 19 during his work, and the necessary survey was done and when the result appeared positive, a transfer was made to the Health Insurance Hospital after a delay without taking first aid and dealing with the case inside Al Munira Hospital that was injured In it, which angered the Doctors Syndicate, which announced the injury of nearly 800 doctors, nurses, paramedics and health sector workers, and that they should be taken care of.
We are confident that the Doctors Syndicate is trying to preserve the lives of its members, and this is its duty, especially since they are now the first line of defense, and we strongly support their tremendous efforts to provide medical services to the masses of the Egyptian people who are waiting for many medical teams to reduce the virus and eliminate the disease and reach a zero, especially that Egyptian doctors are working hard Sincerity inside and outside Egypt, as many Gulf countries and countries of the world have Egyptian doctors, and many Egyptian doctors have died while carrying out their humanitarian duty outside their homeland due to their strong belief in their role, such as Doctor Tariq Hussein Mukhaimer, who died in the State of Kuwait and also the death of Dr. Medhat Atta, an Egyptian doctor in Britain, after He was infected with Coronavirus while working at Doncaster and Basitello Teaching Hospitals, which was caring for elderly patients.
The National Association for Defending Rights and Freedoms calls on the Egyptian state represented by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Health, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, advisor to the President of the Republic, to open a quick dialogue with the Doctors Syndicate and to develop a quick implementation map to protect medical staff and take all precautionary measures to protect them from infection with the virus and allocate emergency beds equipped in Every hospital to receive medical personnel infected with the virus to speed up their treatment and take all urgent measures to all those in contact with them to check on them and not to open new foci of infection inside the medical centers, and we also confirm a rejection of any claims of resignation of any of the medical teams because we are now in war, so the union should not wave such signals and the right of the union Demanding more rights without violating the rights of Egyptians to treat or exploit the circumstances resulting from the Corona pandemic.
We also affirm our total rejection of the deliberate attempts to wreak havoc by some terrorist organizations that are trying to fall and abuse the medical staff through their media arms and try to broadcast many videos that affect the morale of the medical staff and Egyptian citizens on the pretext of the Egyptian state’s failure to confront the virus, but we trust that our medical teams and Syndicate Doctors are aware that the claims of these organizations are nothing but a miserable attempt to destroy the Egyptian health system for the sake of narrow political interests and in order to strike confidence between doctors and patients. We also demand the Doctors Syndicate to confront all suspicious incitement lawsuits and support the medical staff during the coming period and we all stand behind them and by their side to help the Egyptian citizen who needs For more effort and work to eliminate Covid-19
