Gaza Under Invasion: Stop Ethnic Cleansing… and Support the Egyptian Initiative for Peace and Humanitarian Truce

The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms (NADRF), an independent Egyptian non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), condemns the continued systematic crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, culminating in a comprehensive ground invasion accompanied by ethnic cleansing and forced displacement, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
What is happening now is no longer just a war; it is a genocidal plan aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people from their land through deliberate killing, the bombing of hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, and the imposition of a comprehensive, suffocating blockade that prevents food and medicine. These constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity that do not expire with a statute of limitations. The international community has failed to fulfill its responsibilities, and has even colluded through silence or bias, violating its obligations under Common Article (1) of the Geneva Conventions. Meanwhile, the Security Council has been unable to take any action due to its political veto, which has turned the UN into a false witness to the genocide.
In this context, the Association affirms that Egypt, despite the pressures and challenges, continues to fulfill its historic role as an honest mediator and protector of the Palestinian cause, refusing to be a partner in the liquidation scheme. The Egyptian initiative today represents the only practical and humanitarian way to stop the bloodshed.
Accordingly, the National Association for Defending Rights and Freedoms demands the following:
1. Immediate support for the Egyptian initiative for a ceasefire and a comprehensive humanitarian truce that allows the entry of humanitarian aid without any restrictions or preconditions, under international supervision to ensure it reaches those who deserve it.
2. Holding the occupation fully responsible for the crimes committed in Gaza and referring it to the International Criminal Court.
3. Holding the countries supplying the occupation with weapons and political cover jointly responsible for these crimes.
4. Calling on the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to engage directly in ensuring the implementation of the truce and the protection of civilians.
5. Affirming that the right of self-determination of the Palestinian people is an inherent right that cannot be violated by military force or attempts at displacement.
Our message to the world:
Supporting the Egyptian initiative today is not merely a political choice, but a humanitarian and legal duty to stop the ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Failure to support it means complicity in the crime, and history will not be merciful to those who remain silent.
