The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms launches the “Your Voice for Tomorrow” campaign to promote women’s and girls’ participation in the 2025 parliamentary elections
The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms, through its “Grandma Amina’s Tales” platform, launched its national campaign today entitled “Your Voice for Tomorrow.” The campaign aims to promote the participation of women and girls in the 2025 parliamentary elections and empower them to exercise their right to vote effectively and responsibly.
This campaign stems from the Association’s commitment to women’s rights and the necessity of their political empowerment as a fundamental pillar for achieving comprehensive development and building a more just and inclusive society. The Association emphasizes that supporting women’s voices in the electoral process is a vital factor in ensuring women’s representation in decision-making institutions and the formulation of public policies.
The Association stresses that the political environment of the electoral process requires Egyptian civil society to actively participate in urging and raising awareness among voters about the importance of participation and increasing voter turnout. This is the approach chosen by the National Association, based on its belief that effective political participation is the most important means of reform and genuine contribution to managing public affairs.
Grandma Amina will send daily awareness messages to women and girls through her platform. Regarding the importance of political participation and the role of every vote in influencing the future of society and promoting the values of active citizenship and democratic participation, the association points out that women’s political participation is not merely a legal right but a duty and a necessity for the development of society. Every woman’s vote contributes to strengthening justice, empowering women, and enshrining the values of inclusivity in public life. From this perspective, the association calls upon all women and girls to actively engage in the electoral process and contribute to building a parliament that reflects their aspirations and ambitions.
